Cambridge Plumbing Systems Ltd.

Strata Plan VR 437 consists of two high-rise
apartment buildings (13 and 20 stories
respectively) with a combined total of
507 suites (ranging in size from bachelor
to three bedroom). In 2001 the Strata
Corporation hired Cambridge Plumbing
Systems to completely retrofit the plumbing
of both buildings with a new horizontal system,
which more than likely made this the single
largest plumbing retrofit west of Toronto.

The owners, strata council and property
managers are very pleased with the finished
product and the way in which the project was
carried out. Cambridge if a company of
professional people, who are experts in their
field. Their input into the design of the project
resulted in practical improvements to the
system and in a number of situations
lessened the impact on the interior work in
apartments. This is a perfect example that
demonstrates that it is beneficial for practical
experience and technical knowledge to work
side by side, it is the end user who gains from this kind of cooperation as should be the case.

Cambridge has managed to instill in their work force the understanding that they are working in peoples homes while completely turning their lives upside down and invading their privacy and space. The crew was always courteous, friendly, respectful and as unobtrusive as humanly possible under such stressful circumstances. The same was the case in the common areas, at the end of the day you could not tell that a crew of workmen had been there. We are not saying that everything was perfect or that from time to time a little prompting was not necessary, but during an eight to nine month project that is to be expected. The cooperation from the site supervisor was excellent and the man's people skills made a big difference in his dealings with the residents of the buildings and the building staff. He most certainly was a big help to the property manager in bringing the project to its completion.
